DiffPDF — compare PDF files quickly and easily: Click or drag one PDF; click or drag another PDF; click Compare.
This commercial Windows graphical user interface (GUI) application is ideal for office workers and is our most affordable and popular product. Cloud-free: your PDFs are safely compared on your own computer without the size or page limits of online tools. Try free for 20 days or buy for $160 USD. (See also Why Compare PDFs?)
comparepdfcmd — compare PDF files. In a console (i.e., in a Command Prompt window opened by running cmd.exe) enter, e.g., comparepdfcmd.exe -r report.pdf old.pdf new.pdf and see any differences highlighted in report.pdf. Cloud-free: your PDFs are safely compared on your own computer without the size or page limits of online tools.
This commercial console (command line) program for Windows is ideal for more technical users doing testing, quality assurance, and scripted comparisons. Try free for 20 days or buy for $190 USD. (See also Why Compare PDFs?)
comparepdfcmd is an alternative to our diffpdfc program. It is much faster and produces better PDF reports, but it is 64-bit only and has fewer features. See comparepdfcmd vs. diffpdfc to choose the right tool for your needs.
retest — a free console (command line) program for Windows and Unix that makes it simple to automate black box regression testing.
Retest is a general purpose tool. For example, retest can be very useful if you want to automate lots of PDF comparisons. For instance, you could use comparepdfcmd or diffpdfc to produce .pdf, .csv, or .json reports which are initially generated and subsequently checked using retest.
